20th Kargil Vijay Diwas Celebration

These words by Kargil war hero continue to inspire the youth of the nation and to mark 20 glorious years of the victory at Kargil by our Indian armed forces, the students of MMVM observed Vijay Diwas week.

The week started off with special morning assemblies during which students were given accounts and tales of bravery and courage by the bravehearts who laid down their lives to protect the sovereignty of the Motherland.

A school level painting competition was held in which young gems of the school brought alive the scenes from Kargil and the love for nation through art. A similar inter-school painting competition was organised during the week.

The week-long Vijay Diwas celebration culminated with a musical tribute by the students of MMVM took place at Fateh Sagar with poetry recitation and cultural presentations. The event was thronged by parents and visitors in large numbers who appreciated the efforts of the students. The students also tied tricolour wristbands to visitors and presented their artworks on display at the spot.

The teachers and school officials encouraged the students to contribute in nation-building with a strong will, determination and love for the country.
