A school is a place where a child is moulded and taught to face the challenges of life. It's a place where a child learns new ways to broaden their mindset, to develop their personality mentally as well as physically, to get involved in all the extra-curricular activities and carve a bright future for themselves. Often this term is mistaken and students are overburdened with a pile of books and loads of expectations. And here, we miss out on the talents that every child possesses.
Studies are an inseparable part of education but at the same time, extra-curricular activities are equally responsible for a child's development. We, at Maharana Mewar Vidya Mandir (MMVM), have always focussed and encouraged our students to participate in the co-curricular activities and explore new heights, apart from studies. We aim for the holistic development of a child and promote them to undertake new challenges so that they can contribute to the growth of the community and country.
We consider the students at MMVM blessed with enormous talents and capabilities to accomplish almost every task assigned. And to nurture their talent we have various cultural, fitness and personality development activities for them. 'Thirkan' and 'Happy Feet' are among our popular cultural events where our senior and junior MMVMians perform their dance moves and enact various plays. With 'Expressions', our poster making competition event, we try to inculcate and nurture an artist in them. With art and dance forms, physical and mental fitness is also important. 'Shake, Bake, Twist, Mist', a special camp activity happening at the end of every academic year, is one of our most loved activities. This camp provides an opportunity for the students to learn various creative art forms like pottery, puppet making, martial art, home science, yoga, skating, guitar, cooking, personality development, etc. The scouts cubs and bulbuls participate in various social events like 'Diksha Samaroh', Awareness Rally etc. These participations infuse a sense of social responsibility in them.
The aim of education should be to focus on an all round development of a child. This includes social, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and moral capabilities. For us, every MMVMian is special and to nurture their talent stands paramount.
